#ARCFExEVENT IS BACK!
After years of hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, #ARCFExEVENT is finally back! This past Wednesday, the ARCFE U.S. team successfully organized our first coming back event centered around real estate and its financing. This marked ARCFE’s first ever hybrid event. Despite the snow storm, we were able to welcome 13 in-person attendees at our headquarters in Long Island City, along with 12 zoom participants from all over the country.
We started off discussing the NYC real estate market and what’s happening in the U.S. economy. Our Vice President, Mr. McInerney thoroughly explained the reasons behind the off-the-roof pricing for real estates nowadays and why, despite the high pricing, we still see the market as on a growth. He also went further by discussing the inflation problem in the U.S. and the global supply chain crisis, and how these factors have in turn affected the cost of construction and the pricing of NYC real estate. Mr. McInerney also discussed the relationship of price and demand and how it would affect the pool of buyers as the Federal Reserve raises interest rates this year.
Following Mr. McInerney’s discussion, our President, Ms. Lily Guo discussed the financing behind a real estate project, from the capital stack to EB-5 and mezzanine financing. She also delivered the good news on EB-5 Regional Center reauthorization after 8 long months of waiting, together with the positive changes and program reform that are attached to the reauthorization bill.
The audience also had an enthusiastic discussion with Ms. Guo and Mr. McInerney during our Q&A and networking session about the potentials of the EB-5 RC program as well as the bright future of the NYC real estate market.
